Vegan Beach Eats Part II

Welcome back and Happy Friday, vegan and food lovin’ homies!

This is part II of vegan beach eats and depending on how I feel, it’ll be the last one to cover the trip to Constanța. If you need more beach life in your life, check me on social media to see it!

So I already covered the apple tart breakfast and espresso, which means we’re going back to the beach! The weather was even hotter but the water wasn’t quite as cold–still cold as balls though–which means we got more time in the water. Well, I did, Cos mostly tried to soak up the sun.

Look at how much the sun makes me smile!!!

Because of the beach set up there was music playing from the speakers, which meant we could just relax and chat while staring at the water and soaking up the sun. It was a really fun day and I spent hours in the water because apparently I’m a fish now.

In between sun and sea, we took photos and we enjoyed a few more mocktails!

Many, many, many hours later we finally made it to Plant Eat and the food was delicious!

We started with drinks, a Sangria Sour Ale for me and a purple smoothie for him.

I was a really big fan of the Sangria Sour Ale. It was sweet and tangy but it was definitely beer. This was the second time I’ve ever had a sour ale and both times I enjoyed it.

The smoothie was good, but I’m not a fan of warm/room temperature drinks.

For dinner, he ordered lasagna made with a really thick bolognese sauce made from vegan mince, mushrooms and nuts. The lasagna was really good and flavorful, I’m pretty sure they used handmade noodle sheets but I was deep in the land of foodgasmia and didn’t ask.

I got the bang-bang cauliflower and it was crispy but not breaded, spicy and perfectly cooked. I thought there would be rice or something served with the cauliflower but I was fine without it.

Oh, and we also shared vegan potato croquette sticks because who doesn’t love potatoes? They were crispy on the outside and a big explosion of soft potato-y goodness on the inside, drizzled with a vegan Sriracha mayo that was out of this world.

There’s always room for dessert, right? I got a chocolate chip cookie, which was the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had. I seriously moaned out loud and I got a chocolate, chocolate chip cookie for the road.

Cos got a vegan croissant and it was flaky, buttery and melted in my mouth. Vegan. Croissants. Y’all!

We did more walking and we took more photos because that’s what we do. Somehow we found ourselves at a pub for snacks on the beach. It was basic pub food but vegan, but the grilled vegetables were tasty and satisfying.

A little more walking later and we made our way back to the hotel.

The next day we ate more food…I know, unbelievable right?

Vegan tofu scramble is always good and at Plant Eat they know what they’re doing. The ciabatta bun was soft and delicious, and the tomato was a nice addition.

The wild mushroom toast however was INCREDIBLE! There was a cashew cream on the bottom, the mushrooms were perfectly cooked with a handful of fresh spinach tossed in until just wilted. It was so good that I’m already thinking about recreating at it at home.

And then we had…apple pie with vegan ice cream, chocolate and vanilla. The crust was flaky and delicious, so buttery I couldn’t stop eating it. And the apples were coated in cinnamon and brown sugar, vanilla and awesome-ness.

With our bellies full, we decided to hit up a pirate boat tour! It was a fun experience that I recommend to everyone. They played pirate songs in English and Romanian and I saw jellyfish in the water!

And here are a few more photos for you to enjoy!

The casino (Cazinoul din Constanța) is finally done! It’s called the casino but it’s not one, but it’s been under construction since I moved to Romania so finding it complete was a nice surprise!

Caught this photo of rain over the Black Sea and couldn’t resist sharing, how gorgeous is that?!?!?!

Annnnd, that’s it folks! See you next week, have a fabulous weekend!

Last day, la revedere!
